Counselling
Counselling offers a space for you to be heard and your story to be acknowledged in a compassionate way. Counsellors hold space for your story, suggest strategies for resolving symptoms, and provide guidance as you move toward personal growth and healing. Individual counselling can be in-person or online.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched approach proven effective for the treatment of trauma and PTSD, anxiety, compulsive behaviours, substance use, phobias, complex grief, and many other mental health problems. EMDR can be in-person or online.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback, or EEG biofeedback, is a non-invasive, drug-free training method that teaches the brain to self-regulate and function more efficiently by monitoring brainwave activity in real-time. Using sensors, it provides visual or audio feedback, rewarding the brain for shifting towards healthier patterns.

My Approach
In my practice, I aim to foster an environment of warmth, compassion, and safety. Together, we will collaboratively develop a plan tailored to you, to achieve your goals. I incorporate talk therapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Additionally, I specialize in EMDR and Neurofeedback. My favourite feedback from clients is hearing them say, "I feel like myself again." or "I feel hopeful that things can change."
I refer to my approach as "Counseling PLUS," as I offer not only talk therapy but also a variety of powerful therapies to accelerate growth and healing.

About me
I am a Registered Nurse, a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Board Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner. I worked as a nurse for many years in a variety of roles and then went on to receive my Masters in Counselling. I have been working in private practice for 17 years. This combination of education, training and experience gives me a unique and holistic approach-paying attention to both physical and mental health issues. I provide individual counselling with specialities in EMDR and Neurofeedback. I have a passion for training the breath, the body and the brain into healthier, more adaptive patterns.
I love living in the Okanagan and especially enjoy cycling, hiking and cross country skiing.
